Malaria claims another life in city
A 52-year-old man from Jogeshwari died of malaria on Saturday, taking the toll to 33 this month.

The patient had been admitted to hospital since August 17. On Monday, public hospitals admitted more than 131 malaria patients and more than 4,310 people have been admitted so far.
Manisha Mhaiskar, additional municipal commissioner (health), met with building proposal officials on Monday to discuss malaria prevention measures at construction sites.
“We stressed on the importance of maintaining hygiene and having a doctor on building sites,” said Mhaiskar. Four people also tested positive for swine flu on Monday, taking the total number of H1N1 cases this month to 184. Public hospitals reported 438 cases of fever, 45 cases of gastroenteritis and five cases of dengue on Monday.
