A 27-year-old man from Sion tested positive for swine flu or H1N1 virus on Wednesday, said civic sources. The patient, who is already undergoing treatment for swine flu, had travelled to Pune recently.

This is the sixth positive case for H1N1 virus in the city in the past week.
The latest patient went to Sion Hospital complaining of persistent fever, cold and cough last weekend. “We started treatment with Tamiflu and sent his samples to Kastuba Hospital. The reports were ready on Wednesday,” said said Dr Anil Badiwadekar, executive health officer, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation. The patient is recovering at his home in Sion and no longer has fever or cold, he added.
Earlier, three members of a Mulund family — a 6 year old child, his 37-year old father and 57 year old grandmother — and two men in their 50s who travelled to Alibaug together recently, tested positive for swine flu.
