National Alliance for People’s Movements activist Medha Patkar, who has been leading the protests against Lavasa, welcomed the Centre’s decision to issue a show-cause notice to the company but alleged that there were more violations in the project that the Centre needs to act against. “Apart from the environmental aspects, there are many other irregularities in the Lavasa project that need to be thoroughly probed,” Patkar said.

“All these aspects have to be probed and action should be taken against those responsible.” Patkar said the campaign against the corporation would go on, unless all the irregularities were set right.
