There was some commotion outside the police commissioner's office at Crawford market on Tuesday after BJP MLA Yogesh Sagar was kept waiting outside the gates for a while.

It turned out that the officer supposed to allow entry to visitors was not at his post.
According to witnesses, Sagar came to the commissionerate around 3.15pm and sent in a security guard requesting entry for his vehicle.
However, there was nobody there who could authorise entry and the constables posted at the gates tried to contact the officer officer. With no authority to decide whether the car was allowed in, the MLA was kept waiting outside the gates. The vehicles behind the MLA's car were also kept waiting because of this.
Sagar then came out of the car and requested to meet the police inspector on duty. He got agitated after discovering the officer was missing from his desk. While criticising the functioning of the police later, Sagar insisted he had followed all procedures while seeking entry into the office.
