MMRDA sanctions `32 cr for Navi Mumbai projects

The MMRDA has sanctioned a loan of Rs 32.48 crore for Navi Mumbai development projects through the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission.

The MMRDA has sanctioned a loan of Rs 32.48 crore for Navi Mumbai development projects through the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission.

These funds have been sanctioned to take care of its projects related to solid waste management and e-governance.

The NMMC had made a plan and submitted fund requirement of Rs 64 crore, but got only 50 per cent of the amount sanctioned as a loan for 15 years at eight per cent from the Centre.
