Thousands of mobile phone users in Nanded in Marathwada region have been affected after the municipal corporation sealed illegal mobile towers in the area.
"Of the 96 mobile towers in Nanded, only two are legal. We have so far sealed six and the operation is in progress," Nanded Municipal Commissioner Deepak Mhaisekar told the news agency.

The action began on Monday, Mhaisekar said, adding the case is pending before the Bombay High Court.
