More than 50 per cent of students of all three boards — Secondary School Certificate (SSC), Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) and Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) — have been admitted in Class 11 after round four of admissions.

According to the data given by the city's education department, 1,16,290 students were admitted in Class 11, which is 56.30 per cent of the total number of 2,06,518 applicants. The number of students who were rejected was 707.

On Tuesday evening, after admissions for the second general merit list had concluded, 56.43 per cent of SSC students, 57.32 per cent of CBSE students and 52.81 per cent of ICSE students have found seats in colleges.

This year, approximately 2.7 lakh students passed the Class 10 exam in Mumbai and there are approximately 2.5 lakh junior college admission seats available through the online process. This does not include minority quota seats.

“All the students who have not yet secured admission will be accommodated in the third merit list,” said a senior official from the education department.

The admission process for the Allowed To Keep Term (ATKT) will begin offline from September 1 after the online admission process is over and is subject to availability of vacant seats.
