According to the police, the woman had earlier got herself medically tested at the Cooper hospital. However, as she had not completed the entire procedure, a fresh test was needed, the police said. The report of the new test is awaited.

The investigators said the hospital authorities had failed to inform the police about the alleged rape. As the model had claimed she was raped, the case became a medico-legal one, for which hospital authorities need to inform the police.

“When we asked them about the reason behind not informing the police, they gave vague answers. We will record the statement of the doctors and the staff concerned, who conducted a test on the first occasion, to find the reason,” said a crime branch officer.

The woman had told the doctors that she had bite marks on her body, which was mentioned in the report, police said.

Meanwhile, the officers have sent the CCTV footage of the police station and a couple of other spots to the forensic laboratory for analysis.

Following the incident, with the model alleging rape following a raid by assistant inspector Sunil Khapte and Suresh Suryavanshi, and police constable Yogesh Ponde, senior cop have made it mandatory to inform the zonal deputy commissioner before carrying out a raid.
