Municipal Commissioner Swadheen Kshatriya on Thursday said he will go to Pandharpur, the Vithoba-Rukmini temple, to pray for significant rainfall in the catchment areas of the six lakes in the city.

“If the media give me time I wish to go to Pandharpur on Ashadhi Ekadashi to pray for sufficient rainfall in the catchment areas,” Kshatriya said.
This year, the Pandharpur yatra palki of saint Tukaram had started on July 3.
It will end on July 21, on on Ashadhi Ekadashi, an auspicious day according to the Hindu calendar.
