NIA offers reward for information on 4 terror suspects

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday issued a proclamation declaring four men, wanted in various blasts cases, as absconders and placed a combined reward of Rs24 lakh for anyone giving information about them.

The NIA is investigating several blasts that took place in the country from February 2007 to September 2008.

The agency has placed a reward of Rs10 lakh each for information on Sandeep Dange alias Vasudev alias Baljit alias Parmanand, and on Ramchandra alias Ramji Kalsangra alias Omji, both residents of Indore. The duo is suspected to have played a key role in the Modasa Town blast, Samjhauta Express blast, Mecca Masjid Blast, Ajmer Sharif Blast and the 2008 Malegaon blast. A reward of Rs2 lakh is on offer for information on Mehul alias Mafat Bhau alias Mahesh Bhai of Vadodara, who is wanted for his role in the blast at Ajmer Sharif.

Amit alias Ashok alias Prince alias Sunny is wanted in the Samjhauta Express blast and the Ajmer Sharif blast. The NIA has offered Rs2 lakh for anyone giving information about Amit.

On September 29, 2008, twin blasts rocked Malegaon, Nashik killing seven. On the same day, an explosion at a mosque in Modassa, Gujarat killed one person.
