The Dindoshi police on Saturday made inquiries into the allegations by chartered accountant Nidhi Gupta’s father Bimal Jalan against her husband and in-laws following a first information report (FIR) lodged by him on Friday. However, no arrests were made on Saturday.

Nidhi had committed suicide after tossing her two children – Gaurav, 6, and Mihika, 3, from the balcony of the refuge area on the 19th floor of the 21-storey Sahyadri Complex in Malad on Tuesday. Jalan alleged that his daughter had been mentally harassed and tortured by her husband Pawan and his parents.
“We have lodged an FIR based on the information given by Jalan and are inquiring into them. We will be arresting them (the Guptas) soon,” said Vinayak Kakade, senior inspector at Dindoshi police station.
