“Since we’re going to win the BMC with an absolute majority, these polls will be a turning point for Maharashtra politics,” Chavan told the media at his official residence Varsha on Wednesday.

The CM said his confidence stemmed for the fact that the people of Mumbai wanted political change. “The Sena-BJP didn’t have a vision of development and people have realised that only we can bring about that change.”

Chavan said that the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) will increase its share of votes, but will not get more seats.

“I expect the MNS and Sena to divide Marathi votes, and that will benefit us.”
