Out of a job, man kills self at Nagpada

The Nagpada police registered a suicide case after a 25-year-old man hanged himself to death at his residence in the wee hours of Saturday, as he was frustrated following prolonged unemployment.

The Nagpada police registered a suicide case after a 25-year-old man hanged himself to death at his residence in the wee hours of Saturday, as he was frustrated following prolonged unemployment.

The deceased was depressed as he couldn’t contribute anything to his family and as his father was trying to make both the ends meet by driving taxi.

According to the Nagpada police, Mohammad Shaikh, a resident of Khanduri Chawl on Duncan road was found hanging to the loft on Saturday. The police said that he had slept on the loft after he was feeling uneasy, however, he allegedly took the extreme step soon after. His wife Yasmin, 20, who had suggested him to sleep on the loft, later found him hanging there. The police added that Mohammad is HSC pass and had been unemployed since long. He was severely upset after he couldn’t find a job even after getting married.
