The Kharghar police have registered a case of negligence against Kirti Sharma, who ran the crèche on the 10th floor of Monarch Arcade building, Kharghar.
Pramod Bhovte, assistant inspector, said, "We took Sharma's statement on Monday night. We found that it was her negligence that led to the incident."

Bhovte said they did not arrest Sharma.
"When we went to her house on Tuesday morning, we found the house locked. We are making inquiries about her whereabouts."
