Plea against int’l schools

Forum for Fairness in Education has approached the Bombay High Court seeking criminal action against international schools, which collect capitation fees under the guise of various expenditure thereby indulging in profiteering. HT reports.

Forum for Fairness in Education has approached the Bombay High Court seeking criminal action against international schools, which collect capitation fees under the guise of various expenditure thereby indulging in profiteering.

The public interest litigation filed by the NGO seeks "detailed inquiry into financial affairs of all international schools in Maharashtra and investigation into financial affairs of them (international schools) to find out how much amount has been collected by them as capitation fees". Its advocate A.L. Gore is likely to mention the PIL on Friday.
