Plea to not keep depressed Jundal in isolation

Naqvi alleged that Jundal had been kept in isolation, which was against his fundamental right. The special court has now asked the prosecution to file a say on the application.

Jundal, who was shifted to the city’s Arthur Road prison from Delhi’s Tihar jail on Tuesday, has been kept in the same anda cell where Mohammad Amir Ajmal Kasab, one of the 10 terrorists who carried out the 26/11 terror attacks, had been kept before he was hanged.

However, the security around the prison is much less as compared to that when Kasab was there.

Meanwhile sources said that Jundal spent most of his time pouring over the 3650-page charge sheet, a copy of which was handed to him as per law.

Arthur Road jail superintendent VD Burkule was currently in Nagpur and would return on Monday. “Jundal is likely to make an application about what he requires on Monday.”
