Patkar met chief secretary Ratnakar Gaikwad on Monday to put forth her demand. “This scam is bigger than the Adarsh society fraud,” said Patkar.

Residents of the 69 societies in Golibar slums allege that their land was being redeveloped without their consent. They say that the government is working in favour of Shivalik Developers, which has been given the contract for redeveloping the 140-acre land. Patkar alleged manipulation in the process of Shivalik bagging the tender. Another firm, Unitech Group, is also involved in partnership with Shivalik.
