Police said Shamshad Ahmed Khan, Ganesh Neromandal and Laljeet Nanumandal had been running the racket for several years and catered to a high-profile clientele. “The accused would tie up with their counterparts and bring in Russian girls to the city,” said assistant inspector Nitin Patil of the special squad.

Police said they received a tip-off about the racket on Monday. “The women have been taken as victims and have been sent to a rehabilitation centre at Chembur,” Patil said.
