Angry commuters staged a protest near Vikhroli station on Sunday afternoon, disrupting railway services on the Central line for over two hours following the death of three commuters between Kanjurmarg and Vikhroli stations on Sunday morning.

Another commuter, whose injuries are serious, is presently recuperating at the Rajawadi hospital.
The commuters were agitating over the alleged delay in the construction of a foot over bridge near the Vikhroli level crossing, which, they said, had been the reason for such mishaps.
Of the three dead, two bodies were still to be identified, said the Government Railway Police at Kurla. The third deceased has been identified as Pachu Yadav, 18, a resident of Vikhroli (E).
The injured man has been identified as Kapil Ravi Das, 30. He sustained severe wounds on his legs and back and was stated to be critical.
