The party’s local disciplinary committee served a show-cause notice to Munde loyalist Yogesh Gogawale, asking why action should not be taken against him for questioning the selection process of the city unit chief.
Factionalism in the party came to the fore following the selection of Vikas Mathkari, a Gadakari supporter, as Pune city president.
“As a disciplinary committee chairman, I have served notice to Gogawale demanding explanation on his public views against party functionaries,” Vijay Kale told the HT.
When questioned, Munde refused to comment.
