A day after the death of Deepak Jadhav, 28, a Vashi railway police constable, due to a stone-throwing incident, the Vashi railway police undertook a drive to create awareness about taking precautions while travelling.

A day after the death of Deepak Jadhav, 28, a Vashi railway police constable, due to a stone-throwing incident, the Vashi railway police undertook a drive to create awareness about taking precautions while travelling.

The drive was a part of the Railway Safety Week from January 2 to 9. Led by senior inspector Baldev Bhujbal, the police personnel spoke to commuters and also handed out pamphlets that detailed the precautions they need to take.

Bhujbal said “Through this campaign we are hoping to drive home the point that self help is the best help.”
