Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray is displeased with his party legislators’ performance in the budget session of the state legislature.

In a meeting called by him on Wednesday, Thackeray, said he wanted the party legislators to be more active on issues concerning the people, sources said.
An irked Thackeray reportedly asked the legislators why they hadn’t defended the party when industries minister Narayan Rane alleged that corporate houses involved in thermal power production had offered Rs500 crore to the Sena, to stall the Jaitapur power plant.
Party leaders also said that the Sena was being seen as a rabble-rouser, while BJP stole the limelight.
Thackeray’s exercise could mean trouble for Sena group leader in the assembly, Subhash Desai who is viewed to be not as aggressive as his BJP counterpart, Eknath Khadse.
