A group of around 100 Sena workers from Pune gathered outside the bungalow at 11.30 am and started shouting slogans. Some of the workers tried to cross the barricades outside and clashed with the police and private security guards.

Police had a tough time controlling the Sainiks. However, not a single Sainik managed to get into the bungalow because of heavy police security. The Lonavala police said as many 49 workers were detained under the Bombay Police Act and were released at noon.

Sena MLA, Chandrakant Mokate, and Pune city chief, Nana Wadekar, announced the ultimatum of 48 hours while addressing the workers. “We will enter the bungalow and stop the shooting if the channel does not stop it,” Mokate and Wadekar said.

On Monday, Sena chief Bal Thackeray came out opposing the participation of two Pakistani nationals, cricketer Mohmmad Asif’s ex-girl friend and actor, Veena Malik, and talk show host, Begum Nawazish Ali.

Anticipating trouble, the Pune rural police had deployed additional force outside the bungalow where shooting is currently on. As many as 45 police constables and four PSIs are taking care of security, and are assisted by a private security agency.

A spokesperson from the Colors channel refused to comment on the agitation, but said the protests had not interrupted the shooting schedule.
