'She spoke to Rajan for 26 minutes before Dey murder'

The crime branch on Thursday claimed to have come across the history of calls made by Vora, from four mobile phones, to Rajan, which sums up to 26 minutes and 40 seconds. A senior crime branch official said that the calls were made at frequent intervals and the long duration is unlikely to be of the gangster talking to journalists for professional reasons. What is suspicious in Vora's conduct, he added, is that she stopped talking to Rajan after the murder.

The official claimed that though the call history of the four mobile phones used by Vora has been obtained, the investigators have so far recovered just two of the phones.

While the state forensic science lab is trying to retrieve deleted emails from Vora's laptop, the Mumbai police have approached Research In Motion (RIM) - which makes Blackberry business phones - for recovery of another set of data as the police suspect Vora had communicated with some yet-to-be-traced accused over the Blackberry messenger service. Data exchanged through this service does not reflect on the cellular service provider's terminal. The company is said to have agreed to cooperate with the Mumbai police.
