A delegation of elected representatives from Mumbai led by city's guardian minister Jayant Patil will soon meet union railway minister Mukul Roy to discuss problems faced commuters in Mumbai. Patil has sought Roy's time for the same.

The delegation will demand safety measures such as increasing height of platforms since the gap between train's steps and platforms is causing accidents and posing difficulties for senior citizens while boarding the suburban trains. The delegation will also demand expansion of the rail over bridges at stations which are not enough to cater to the growing number of commuters. Patil said he would also put forth demand for immediate safety measures for women commuters and provisions for adequate number of clean toilets for them.
