Super-cop Bhoir’s mantra: hard work

And PSI Anand Bhoir, attached to the Kashimira police station, did not disappoint his selectors. Within four days of being selected, police not only managed to identify (and arrest) the kidnappers, but rescued the child from the interiors of UP.

“He (Bhoir) is known for his special ability in solving complicated cases like kidnappings. In fact, there are many budding officers at this (PSI) level in our force who have got tremendous potential. It is necessary to identify these talents and allow them rise to occasions,” said Mumbai police commissioner Arup Patnaik, who had requested the Thane Rural police to depute Bhoir in the crack team formed to solve the case.

Senior Inspector Rakesh Sharma (from crime branch control) and ACP Sanjay Jambulkar (from Airport division) spearheaded the team.

Recently, Bhoir had solved a kidnapping case in Mira Road. Bhoir had earlier worked under Sharma and hence was a natural selection for team. Asked what was the secret of his special ability in solving crime jigsaws, Bhoir replied, “nothing but hard work”.
