An all-party delegation led by Thane’s Nationalist Congress Party MP Sanjeev Naik met Pawar in Delhi on Monday. It urged him to take immediate steps to help the farmers of Thane district. A press release stated that Pawar has announced a loan waiver for farmers that will benefit farmers of Konkan region comprising of districts of Thane, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Raigad and of Vidharbh region’s Gadchiroli and Gondia districts.
