They call it a “fascist movement” as the anti-corruption stir is backed by organisations such as the BJP and the RSS.

“Anna Hazare is selling a fake dream like we filmmakers do; the reality is different. Anyone who disagrees with him is branded a traitor,” said Bhatt, adding he has been inundated with threatening responses after he tweeted against Hazare.

Bhatt said youngsters backing Hazare are non-introspecting and have not studied the issue at all. “The proposed Jan Lokpal Bill will have no accountability and will not conform to the democratic society,” he said.

The three activists said they support neither the bill drafted by Team Anna nor the government; they want the one mooted by activist Aruna Roy.

Ansari said Hazare has not spoken against communal forces. “The whole mobilisation is done by communal elements that are themselves a threat to this country,” she said.
