This play is not just for laughs

The play featured situations where the ordinary man is driven to the wall by a corrupt and inefficient public administration.

The story was written by AV Kamal and directed by Sudhesh Vyas, who said the play was a light-hearted look at the frustration and anger that citizens experience when they try to access public services.

“Many of us feel helpless in such situations; laughing at some of our tormentors offers a kind of therapy,” said Vyas.

And the audience agreed, as the packed hall echoed with laughter. After the play’s performance, members of the audience lined up to congratulate the cast.

“The play was great entertainment, but it also carried a deep social message that is relevant in the current scenario,” said Shuddhodan KV, who is doing a doctorate in mathematics.
