Over 25 persons have allegedly ended their lives in this month across the city.

A 24-year-old Nilesh Singh who was suffering from abdominal pain for the last one and a half year, hanged self at his residence at suburban Dahisar, police said.

A house wife identified as Sonali Choudhary (20) has hanged self to a ceiling rod after locking the house from inside at Shivraj Seva Mandal in suburban Kurla last night, police said. The reason for the suicide was not known and no suicide note was found, they added.

In Dharavi area, a Brihan Mumbai Municipal Corporation sweeper Chandrappa Kurve (48) hanged self at his residence last night, police said adding that financial crisis could be one of the reasons which drove him to take this extreme step.
