If you are planning to go shopping on the occasion of Akshay Tritiya on Sunday, avoid travelling by trains — at least in the afternoon. Services on all three lines — Western, Central and Harbour — will be affected on Sunday because of the maintenance work.

On the Central line, maintenance work will be carried out on the fast line between Mulund and Matunga stations from 11 am to 4.30 pm, and on the Harbour line between Vashi and Belapur stations from 11 am to 4 pm.
On the Western line, work will be carried out from 10.35 am to 3.35 pm on the slow corridor between Marine Lines and Mahim stations.
Special trains will run on the CST–Vashi-CST and Belapur-Panvel–Belapur sections during this period.
