Anil Singh, 36, and Vijay Singh, 37, were arrested from near an Andheri (East) hotel, the police said. While Anil is a resident of Nallasopara, Vijay is a resident of Kalwa. Both, from Uttar Pradesh, work in a private firm.

Anil came to the city in 2009 with a firearm. He did not get his weapon registered according to the Arms Act. Similar was the case with Vijay, who has been living here since 2006.

The police laid a trap and arrested them from near Mars Hotel in Marol. “We seized two revolvers and 10 live rounds,” said Dilip Patil, senior inspector, Sahar Airport police station.
