Two leopards were spotted by locals at the National Dairy Development Board at Goregaon (East) on Friday. “Since diwali, we’ve been hearing that a leopard with cubs has been roaming around. On Friday, we saw them and intimated forest officials,” said Balu Shine, a local.

The locals informed the control room at the Sanjay Gandhi National Park (SGNP) and a team of four arrived at the spot. “We have installed two camera traps in the area and are monitoring the movements. So far, we haven’t spotted them. We have told locals not to panic,” said Sunil Limaye, director, SGNP.
