‘Underworld possibly involved in Irla firing’

The two men who shot at an Irla businessman on Wednesday could possibly belong to some gang, police have said.

“We are probing that angle,” said Amitabh Gupta, additional commissioner of police (West). Five more arrests were made in the case, taking the total to seven.

The police said Deepak Bhandari, a CD dealer, was getting out of his car near Irla on Wednesday evening, when Rakesh Parve (28) and Faraz Khan (28) entered the building, and one of them fired at Bhandari. They building watchmen and locals caught them.
