Usually criticised for not declaring results on time, the University of Mumbai this time has declared the results for the BSc October exam barely three days after the exam concluded.

The results were declared on Monday. “Only the results of the computer science stream are still to be declared because there is a shortage of teachers for assessment,” said Vilas Shinde, controller of examinations.
The feat was easier for the university as only 3400 papers had to be corrected with 150 teachers for assessment. During the March examinations there are at least 25,000 students taking the exam.“There was close monitoring of assessments and the process of assessment, moderation, data entry and reading was all done simultaneously,” said Shinde. The result gazette, statement of marks and passing certificates will be available in colleges on December 15.
