University goof-up spoils our party, say students
“Party seems to be coming to an end. The university seems to be keen on eating into our happiness. MHRM re-exam on April 11,” read a post on social networking site Facebook.
“Party seems to be coming to an end. The university seems to be keen on eating into our happiness. MHRM re-exam on April 11,” read a post on social networking site Facebook.
As the decision of the re-exam of marketing and human resource management paper was made public, there was an outcry among final year BCom students whose vacations have been abruptly halted. The BCom exams ended on March 30. Nearly 60,000 students appeared for marketing and human resource paper exam on April 28. “It is really unfair that we have to reappear for the exam. I really worked hard for the paper. I was leaving for Vaishno Devi on April 10 but now I have to cancel my trip,” said Rajaram Shankar, a final year Bcom student of MMK College in Bandra.
The re-exam has inconvenienced several students. Noomit Rangwani, a Bandra resident, had taken leave for his exams. “I had taken 20 days off from work. Now, I will have to take another 10 days leave from exam. I have my CA audits and articleship pending. I do not know how I will cope with all of this,” he said.
Social networking sites were abuzz with angry comments from students. “We are not fools to give the exam again. If the paper was leaked it was the university's responsibility to change the paper,” posted a student on Facebook.
