We will bring pollution levels down, says CM

Worried about the rising levels of water, noise and air pollution, chief minister Prithviraj Chavan said, on Monday, that the government was looking at all measures possible to bring levels within manageable limits.

Worried about the rising levels of water, noise and air pollution, chief minister Prithviraj Chavan said, on Monday, that the government was looking at all measures possible to bring levels within manageable limits.

Acknowledging citizens’ concerns about water contamination, an issue that HT has continuously highlighted, Chavan directed the civic body to address these concerns and consult experts to plug loopholes.

Chavan, said this at his first interaction with the Citizen Action Group (CAG), a committee of citizens set up to externally monitor the progress of the government to transform Mumbai into a world-class city.
