Pop star Beyonce Knowles has revealed that her recent performance of her single.

Pop star Beyonce Knowles has revealed that her recent performance of her single, Run the world (girls), at the 2011 Billboard Music Awards was inspired from a 2010 performance by Italian pop singer Lorella Cuccerini.

“My make-up artist showed me the performance of Lorella Cuccarini a year ago, and it inspired me so much,” she says. “The technology and concept were so genius. Thank god for YouTube or I would have never been exposed to something so inspiring,” adds the singer, whose comments have also put to rest boiling rumours that her performance was a rip-off of Cuccerini’s act.
