Cheryl Cole, the Girls Aloud star, could be heading for the fastest-selling single of the year with her debut solo effort. Fight For This Love clocked up enormous

first day sales and has now surpassed first day sales of Alexandra Burke who broke records last week with her equally upbeat single Bad Boys.
The X-Factor winner's track is currently the fastest-selling single of the year, but it's believed Cole's track, taken from her debut solo album, 3 Words, to be out on October 26, could break Burke's record.
“Her first days sales are just amazing and put her in pole position to top the Official Singles Chart on Sunday. Together with Alexandra Burke, she is likely to set the sales standard by which everyone will be judged for the rest of the year, in the run-up to Christmas," Official Charts Company managing director Martin Talbot was quoted as telling an international news Web site.
Cole performed Fight For This Love on last week's X Factor in front of millions of viewers. Her energetic performance, along with an appearance by Whitney Houston, broke ratings records for the ITV show, which attracted almost 15 million viewers.
The trajectory of her first solo effort is bad news for Robbie Williams whose comeback has been buried by 'The X Factor effect'.
