Snoop Dogg, who became a household name in India after his Singh is Kinng title track, has called his new single Snoop Dogg Millionaire and the hitmaker has teamed up with singer Tanvi Shah of Jai ho fame. Rajesh Ahuja reveals the rap superstar's plans.

There’s no end to the number of people Slumdog Millionaire has inspired, but you wouldn’t have thought of this one chap. Rap superstar Snoop Dogg, who became a household name in India after his Singh is Kinng title track, has called his new single Snoop Dogg Millionaire and the hitmaker has teamed up with singer Tanvi Shah of Jai ho fame.

Speaking exclusively to HT City, the rapper recalls how the project took shape: “Wild Animals, the producers of the track, came up with the concept. They were inspired by how Slumdog Millionaire’s theme complements the way my career has evolved.

“Once I heard the beat and the hook [of the song], I had my team in Mumbai bring Tanvi in. It all came together real smooth.”

The single, a part of his forthcoming album Malice In Wonderland, may soon have a surprise video, too, confirms the star. “Snoop Dogg songs come from a natural creative process. I work with all kinds of artistes. If the timing is right, I would like to work with many more Indian artistes. My upcoming album is going to shock the world,” he guarantees.

Dogg, who set the radio on fire with a rap version of Singh is Kinng last year, is itching to go desi again, but with a bigger bang. “Bollywood has definitely been reaching out. But I gotta find the right project to outdo Singh is Kinng, since we made history with that one,” feels the singer earlier known as Snoop Doggy Dogg.
