He is a big fan of Bollywood music and is awed by Indian qawwals. This is British Indie folk musician Fin Greenall aka Fink, known for songs such as Perfect Darkness and Berlin Sunrise. He will be performing in the city tonight.
“I’ve heard a lot of Bollywood music, actually, in a weird way. My wife was really into Bollywood films so she made me watch so many movies.” Fink was also featured on the The Dewarists with musicians Salim-Sulaiman and Shafqat Amanat Ali, which was shot with qawwals at the Haji Ali mosque in Mumbai. “It was so amazing. It was definitely one of the best moments of the year for me. It’s sure up in the top 10 gigs that I’ve been to,” says the musician.

Tonight, Fink will be performing with his band that’s on its debut visit to India. “We start with grooves. The music is loose enough for us to try different things on stage. We can rewrite things while we’re playing,” he says.
The line-up for the performance will have a bit of everything. “We’ll play some of our tracks from Perfect Darkness and older albums. We’ve just played at a lot of festivals, so we will throw in a few different festival tracks as well - and probably play our popular songs, Pretty Little Thing and Blueberry Pancakes.”
