‘Eight days a week’
The Beatles(1964) The Beatles member Paul McCartney revealed in an interview published in 1984 that the song title was lifted from what drummer Ringo Starr once incorrectly said during a conversation.

‘Eight miles high’
The Byrds (1966) Considered one of the first psychedelic rock songs, this raga-rock number is said to be inspired by Ravi Shankar and John Coltrane.

‘Figure of eight’
Paul McCartney (1989) Post the release of the single, McCartney often performed this number as the opening track at his concerts.

‘5, 6, 7, 8’
Steps (1998) This quintessential ’90s dance song topped all charts and catapulted the pop band to instant popularity.

‘Eight easy steps’
Alanis Morissette (2004) This post-grunge satirical song talks about the host of predicaments that humans face, as individuals and as part of society. The song is the opening track of Morissette’s sixth album, So-Called Chaos.

‘Liverpool 8’
Ringo Starr- The opening number of the eponymous album is autobiographical in nature, mostly talking about his hometown and how much it means to him.

‘8 dead boys’
Babyshambles (2005) The rock number by this English indie band was part of their debut album, Down In Albion. Funnily, the title of the song doesn’t appear anywhere in the song.
