Don’t know much about the Mahabharata? Here’s your chance to get a grasp of the epic, in a different and musical way! The Song of Dharma, which will be presented today, is a one-of-its kind initiative. It will involve a unique stage production, with sound, light and a big screen projection of the Pattachitra, to depict the story of the Mahabharata.

The entire epic will be presented in the form of a song, written in English, along with urban folk music. The song, which has been written for those who are oblivious of the epic, will use the backdrop of the Pattachitra paintings on visual projection for illustration.
The concert will see musician Susmit Bose perform the musical form of the epic along with fellow musicians Gautam Ghosh, Tapan Mallick and Chayan Adhikary.
The day will be marked by a release of the DVD, CD and an illustrated book of verse by Chief Minister of Delhi, Sheila Dikshit.
