According to tmz.com, the guitar is to be auctioned at Christie's. Aston Barrett who played bass and was the founding member of Bob Marley and the Wailers has now filed a lawsuit claiming that Marley had given him the guitar in 1979. This was two years before Marley died.

Barrett also claims that in 2000 he gave the guitar to Angus Reid for safekeeping. Barrett says he was shocked to find that Reid was now putting up the guitar, a Yamaha SG-1000, for auction at Christie's.

Barrett wants the guitar back and an additional $50,000 for all the trouble.
