Who are they?
A Delhi-based rock band called Barefaced Liar.

Why should you care?
The band is known for its genre defying music presented in a classic format. They do a mix of vocal harmonies with a frenetic guitar.

How long have they been around?
Since 2002.

Why this name?
Barefaced Liar is a name they stumbled upon in a casual conversation. They liked it immediately because it was catchy and instantly recognizable. The band is heavily influenced by all-time classic sounds of bands and artists such as Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, SRV, Hendrix and Metallica.

What makes them click?
Apart from their memorable, action-packed live shows, they have a number of highly acclaimed original songs created and recorded through years of studio experience. They have worked passionately on honing their craft in terms of combining technical skills and quality songwriting.

What is the one thing they hate about upcoming city-based bands?
Most of them have a shelf-life, which probably means they weren’t that well thought out to begin with.

Why do they like performing in Delhi?
The weather for the latter half of the year, people’s tolerance for original music, and some top class venues to perform.

What are they remembered for?

Winning several band competitions for colleges, Great Indian Rock 2008, Commonwealth Games 2010, Hard Rock India tour, NH7 2010 and their recently released debut album that represents the band’s unique take on rock.
