Now, a rock version of Vande Mataram

Various musicians from Lata Mangeshkar to AR Rahman have sung the national song of India, Vande Mataram, over the years. Now, the song will take a new form in the bilingual international film Gandhi To Hitler (Dear Friend Hitler in International version).

Various musicians from Lata Mangeshkar to AR Rahman have sung the national song of India, Vande Mataram, over the years. Now, the song will take a new form in the bilingual international film Gandhi To Hitler (Dear Friend Hitler in International version).

Catering to the growing need for rock music amongst Indian youth, the film will feature a rock version of the song, which has been written by Pallavi Mishra, the film’s associate producer. “In today’s times when our national language is losing its grip among the youth, I could not refrain myself from translating the legendary composition in my mother tongue,” says Mishra, adding, “To make it a rage among Gen X, rock music was the best choice.” Bensen Baby, Aman P and Vasundhara have sung the track while music has been scored by Aman and Bensen.
