As Anna Hazare held his three-day fast against graft, some distance away in a Mumbai studio a song to wipe out corruption from the country was being recorded for a yet-to-be released film.

The song, penned by Faiz Anwar and composed by Rajendra Shiv for the film Dhuaan, was recorded Tuesday by actor Amitabh Dayal and singers Jojo and Javed Ali.

"As a nation, all of us had some dreams when we became independent. But those dreams have not been fulfilled. Instead, we find that every Indian is fighting against corruption at every step today," Dayal told IANS.

He said that the nation needs to be awakened. "That is precisely what is happening now. Our song is also dedicated to this same cause," he said, referring to the Hazare agitation at the MMRDA Ground in Bandra-Kurla Complex.

The song goes something like this "Jaisa ab hai pehle kab tha, yeh Hindustan yaaron, Rishwat ke baazaar me baithe, kuch beimaan yaaron; Apne desh ki haalat badlo, jaago hosh me aao..."
