DJ Ferry Corsten is having a busy December. The artiste has been spinning in clubs across the world almost every night. “I have been at it since October. I think I’ve had two free nights. It’s amazing how I haven’t missed one flight so far and have managed to not get jet lagged. I’ve travelled to seven continents in three months already,” says Corsten.
The progressive, electro-house and trance spinner is currently finishing the worldwide tour for his recently released album, Once Upon A Night. After his last pitstop in Singapore, Crosten will headline India’s biggest dance music festival, Sunburn in Goa on December 29. The Out of The Blue, spinner is excited about his second visit to the country. “I had a great time in India when I performed with Snow Flakes. I didn’t get to see much, though I really wanted to go check out Goa. Seems like that has worked out. So I am really excited,” says Corsten, who doesn’t seem one bit tired or cynical about partying non-stop for the past three months.“What’s there to grow tired of? I am now the busiest DJ in the world,” admits Crosten who was rated as the seventh best DJ in the world by DJ Mag.
For Corsten, the dance floor is getting wider and bigger, with his musical inspirations bleeding to tracks that have scratches of Indian samples and instruments. One of his tracks, Shanti ended up becoming a one-time club anthem around the world. “I heard some brilliant vocals and was instantly taken in by the beauty of it. I just had to use this in one of my tracks. It sounds very dramatic, but it also gives the touch that the song needed. It is still my favourite track from my last album, Twice In A Blue Moon,” he says.

{{/usCountry}}The Dutch producer hopes to share the Goa stage with some great talent from around the world. “I really like Indian musicians. I think they have the energy and raw vibe to keep a crowd going. I also love their analog skills in a very digital environment. I’m hoping to vibe with them in Goa,” says Corsten.
On New Year’s Eve, Crosten will be playing in San Diego, USA and in the interim will test some new tunes at Sunburn. “I have a travelling studio in the laptop and am currently working on my new album. I have loads of new ideas and I might play some new stuff in Goa to test it. So keep your ears open,” says Corsten.
