Acclaimed singer, actor and now painter Ali Zafar, who made his debut in the critically acclaimed Tere Bin Laden, has much reason to celebrate. Apart from bagging a pivotal role in Yash Raj’s Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, the multi-tasker’s latest record album has gone on to become the best and highest selling album in Pakistan.

According to a recent market survey, Zafar’s third album titled Jhoom, released by Alif Records, Ali’s own record label is the highest selling album in Pakistan and if that wasn’t all, Jhoom also ranked second in popularity on Indian charts as well.

Says Zafar, “The point of creating the album was not for commercial success only. This was also an attempt to push my music out there.

I’m thrilled that Jhoom is doing well.” Recently, Zafar had surprised his brother-in-law with an impromptu gig at his wedding, where he jammed with music groups Jal and Junoon.
