BM are one of the most popular bands on the tour circuit and definitely the most grounded as far as musicality is concerned, and have a commitment to keeping the faith in a genre that is much maligned and rarely praised outside of its followers. Yet, with a production this slick, and arrangements so tight, this one will drag in the non-believers by the hair on their ba**s. So in come the fan favourites, Habemus Papam, Ranti Nasha and MNS Messenger amongst many other, mind-numbing, brain-grinding, neck-breaking and mosh-pit devoted salacious growlings.

A Grammy winner this year for best new artiste, trouncing acts like the Ting Tings and MGMT, this multi-member band from Atlanta, Georgia are anything but. These are the times when one questions the quality of the choices at the Grammys. Those who have heard the Ting Tings and MGMT, would vouch for the ingenuity of their sounds.
But no, flag waving, bleeding heart rednecks get to take home accolades. But let me validate the music, straight up country western, the flavour of the season, stuff you hear at weddings and functions. Every year throws up a new country act that furthers the genre keeping it relative, thriving and radio friendly. So get up your guitar and play along, and maybe even sing.

Hollywood knows how to dole out the mush, as we have been privy to its workings for the past two decades. But most of the time it’s been a success, as no doubt this film will be. And they sure know how to put together a great soundtrack. So for those who have already seen the film, here are the songs that you heard in the film... well some of them, at least. This is for those who want the rest. So, this is for y’all in the mood for some breezy pop stuff, with artistes like Taylor Swift, Ben E King, Nat King Cole, Willie Nelson, Amy Winehouse, Maroon 5, Joss Stone and many more. Put it on and you’ll have this great, big, stupid grin on your face all along, I guarantee it. I’m still smiling.

One of the industrial metal pioneers of the late ’80s, upto the mid-90s, with his band White Zombie, went solo in 1998 with an album called Hellbilly Deluxe, to much fan disappointment. But 11 years, four horror films and two more solo albums later, Zombie launches a sequel to his debut solo album of 1998. Much like his films, House of 1000 Corpses, and its sequel and his remakes of Halloween and its sequel, the themes are as grotesque and depraved as ever. The opening track, ‘Jesus Frankenstein...’ will not go down well with the pious for sure. Peppered with quotes from cheesy horror films, the music sounds corny as well, at times. But hey, it’s horror-metal music, how serious can you possibly get, anyway?
